Christopher H. Hartman DDS, MS

Orthodontist

Dr. Christopher Hartman is a native of Central Iowa and grew up in the small community of Perry. Sports, music and sciences were always a fascination for him, and he always dreamed of being a doctor.

He attended Saint John’s University on academic scholarship and competed in track and field while earning his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biology, graduating summa cum laude. Upon graduation Dr. Hartman enrolled at the University of Iowa, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery after four years of dental school. He then completed a two year orthodontic residency receiving his Master of Science in orthodontics.

Dr. Hartman joined the Central Iowa Orthodontics team in 2015 and couldn’t be happier being an orthodontist and loves getting to know his patients and their families as well as the mixture of art, science, and critical thinking that the profession requires.

Now residing in West Des Moines, he and his wife Hannah are proud to call central Iowa home. You can often find Dr Hartman out jogging on his lunch break—fueling the energy he needs to stay active with their two kids who keep them busy outside of the office.
