Dr. ConradDr. Corey C. Conrad, a native of the state of Iowa, was born and raised in Iowa Falls. Growing up he was active in sports and music, but also enjoyed art and the sciences. Upon graduating as valedictorian of his high school class, he enrolled at the University of Iowa.

During his schooling at the University of Iowa, Dr. Conrad was a three-year member of the University of Iowa Marching Band. While completing his undergraduate studies, his interest in the sciences grew stronger. As he completed his bachelor of arts degree with honors in biology, the field of dentistry seemed to be a perfect fit to combine his interest in science and art.

Dr. Conrad was accepted into dental school at the University of Iowa. During his training, Dr. Conrad received several awards including induction into OKU, a dental honor society, as well as a research scholarship. This is when he started orthodontic research with Dr. Robert Staley. His research consisted of testing bond strengths of different orthodontic materials and brackets. After spending time in the orthodontic department doing research and talking with the faculty and residents, he decided that orthodontics was the area of dentistry that suited him best. He was able to pursue graduate orthodontic training also at the University of Iowa, and continue his research with Dr. Staley. He has authored or participated in several research articles published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics.

Upon completion of his orthodontic training, Dr. Conrad moved to Des Moines and joined Dr. Michael Rovner in 2001. He has loved getting to know and serve the Des Moines area. There is nowhere he would rather be. Since moving to Des Moines, Dr. Conrad has gotten married and has one daughter. During his free time, he enjoys sports as well as spending time with his family and friends. He likes to stay actively involved with the community and his church. Dr. Conrad also enjoys going back to Iowa City to visit, as well as, to watch the Hawkeyes.

Dr. Conrad is a member of many professional organizations, which help him stay on the leading edge of orthodontics and dentistry as it evolves. These organizations include: the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association, the Des Moines District Dental Society, the American Association of Orthodontics, the Midwest Society of Orthodontics, the Iowa Society of Orthodontics, the Des Moines Society of Orthodontics, and the G.V. Black Dental Study Club. Dr. Conrad is also past president of the Des Moines District Dental Society.
